Bible Symposium – 4-5 December 2025
Join us this December at Launde Abbey to learn together about the historical and ongoing impact of biblical language in culture.
Taking a cue from the 500th anniversary of the publication of Tyndale’s New Testament, our symposium will explore Tyndale’s fundamental shaping influence on the English language, alongside the ongoing currency and vitality of biblical language today.
At the symposium this year, we are looking forward to hearing from two keynote speakers: Paul Fiddes, Professor of Systematic Theology, University of Oxford and Nick Spencer, Senior Fellow at Theos. The symposium will also feature plenaries, delegate papers, an exhibition and a Tyndale related liturgy, all in the beautiful setting of the 900-year-old Abbey.
Call for Papers: Call for Papers for Third BIAPT Bible symposium – deadline 27 June 2025
Our BIAPT Bible symposiums are characterised by a focus on how the Bible is engaged in practice, with delegates bringing their own contexts to conversations about the Bible. All those with an interest in this Bible and practice interface are welcome, whether practitioners or academics.
Booking for residential delegates closes on Monday 3 November.
