From Generation to Generation (2010)
From Generation to Generation: Text, Transmission and Transformation
13th – 15th July, 2010 at Dromantine Conference Centre, Newry
Our annual conference this year comes to Northern Ireland, where we will focus on the shifting experience of faith across the generations. Our keynote speakers will explore the particular issues facing younger and older people in the ongoing community of faith. A new emphasis this year will be on the reading of texts in the Christian tradition, and we will be presenting a series of imaginative interpretations of the scriptures and the liturgy in parallel with the main conference theme. We believe that the practical theological interplay between these themes and approaches will be full of interest and challenge. Together with a rich programme of short papers and discussions, we can look forward to a lively and rewarding conference.
