This group provides a forum for students to share their research fields of interest, creating moments of potential interaction and collaboration from other students, as a form of support. There is an annual student day conference where a notable academic will offer input in the morning, and members can offer papers sharing their research and insights in the afternoon.

This group is a community open to all doctoral students in BIAPT – whether you are studying part-time or full-time, for a professional doctorate or doctor of philosophy, you are very welcome to get involved. To stay up to date with this group join BIAPT.

Join us for the British and Irish Association for Practical Theology’s Annual Doctoral Student Conference, taking place online on Friday 30 April 2027.
About the conference:
BIAPT’s Annual Doctoral Student Conference offers you the opportunity to share your research, network with fellow students, and present a paper in a supportive and encouraging environment. The programme will feature 20-minute work-in-progress papers from students, followed by time for discussion and feedback. The conference aims to strengthen BIAPT’s postgraduate community and provide an opportunity to explore current and emerging research in practical theology.
The event is open to all postgraduate students. Whether you are studying full-time or part-time for a master’s degree, professional doctorate, or PhD, you are warmly invited to take part. This one-day conference will be held online via Zoom to make it as accessible as possible.
