Peace on Earth – and at Christmas Dinner – Thursdays Dec 1, Dec 8, and Dec 15, 7:30-9:00pm GMT, online
We find ourselves more and more polarized – not only in politics, but also among family members and between friends. We want to love each other, to grow closer together, but hurtful differences often get in the way.
This Advent-themed, interactive program (three 90-minute sessions, plus 20 minutes of preparation each week) creates a prayerful space where we can:
- listen, connect, and practice compassion (both for ourselves and for others)
- understand and address hurtful “-isms” in more deeply spiritual and peace-building ways
- learn to navigate conflicts about politics with greater grace, so as to produce a little less heat, and a little more light
Each session includes movement-based prayer, group learning, interactive exercises, and small group discussion.
